On Monday, February 28 2005 at 8 pm, the first episode of "Saltön" was showed on Swedish National Television (SVT1). Apparat Studios (Magnus Strömberg)
wrote the music score to the 5 episodes based on Viveca Lärns first two books about the people on Saltön; "Midsommarvals" and Hummerfesten. Screenplay by Carin Mannheimer who also directed. The cast includes Tomas von Brömssen, Ulla Skoog, Anki Larsson, Per Myrberg and Hanna Bogren.
Each episode had about 2.7 million viewers.
